Injury & Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)

Effective July 1, 1991, every employer has been required to establish, implement, and maintain an effective Injury and Illness Prevention Program. The penalties for failure to comply range from $1,000 to $1,000,000.

If you do not have a program established, you are at great risk. We at SullivanCurtisMonroe can help you put together and maintain a Safety Program that not only complies with SB198 but adds to your bottom line by reducing lost time employee injuries.

Even if you have a program in place, we have found that programs become stale and ineffective fairly quickly. Our Risk Control experts can review your current program and make suggestions for improvement and help you to make creative changes to make the program come alive again.

Our comprehensive program includes:

  • Injury Prevention Program Audit Checklist
  • Outline of the IIPP Standard (Sec. 3203 GISO) and Penalties for Non-Compliance
  • Company Safety Policy
  • Safety Program Management-Individuals Responsible
  • Safety Committee and Safety Meetings
  • Accident Investigations and Reports
  • Work Injury Reporting
  • Medical Services and First Aid
  • Crisis Management and Disaster Plan
  • Employee Safety Meetings
  • Outline of Safety Responsibilities by Job Class
