Executive Vice President Edward C. Shumaker has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. He joined SullivanCurtisMonroe in May 1997.

Shumaker was previously senior vice president and branch manager of the Orange County office of Anderson and Anderson (1988-1997). Prior to that, he was president and CEO of Bayly, Martin and Fay of Southern California, Inc., where he supervised the firm's Orange County San Diego, Phoenix and Tucson offices. He has also served as an account representative for Protection Mutual Insurance Co. in Pasadena and as manager of marketing for Frank B. Hall and Company in Los Angeles. His training in loss prevention and underwriting large highly protected risk clients came from the Factory Mutual Engineering Company.

Shumaker earned a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering from California State University at Long Beach.
